Privacy
Dreich is honest about the weather, and honest about your data. The short version: no accounts, no analytics, no trackers, no advertising — and Dreich keeps almost nothing.

Dreich is an iOS weather app made by Mike Greig, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “Dreich”). For anything to do with this policy or your data, email support@getdreich.com.
Dreich is designed to collect as little as possible. In normal use, that means:
You can read Apple’s Privacy Policy for how Apple handles data in these services.
We don’t sell or rent your data. We don’t share it with advertisers or data brokers. We don’t build a profile of you, track you across other apps or websites, or run any advertising network. There are, simply, no Dreich servers quietly storing your movements.
Where UK data protection law applies, we rely on your consent — the location permission you grant in iOS — to process your location for the purpose of delivering the forecast you asked for. You can withdraw that consent at any time by turning off location access for Dreich in iOS Settings, without affecting anything we did before.
We don’t retain your location — it’s used to fetch a forecast and is not stored by us. The on-device cache lives only on your phone and is cleared when you delete the app. If you email support, we keep that correspondence only as long as needed to help you and to keep a reasonable record.
You have rights over your personal data, including to access it, correct it, delete it, or object to its use, and to complain to a regulator. Because Dreich holds essentially no personal data about you on our side, in practice this mostly concerns any support emails you’ve sent. To exercise a right, email support@getdreich.com. If you’re in the UK and unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can also contact the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Dreich is a general-audience weather app and is not directed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from children.
If we change how Dreich handles data, we’ll update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will be made clear.
