Something not working? A question about the weather, the Dreich Score, or your subscription? Get in touch — a real person reads these.
We aim to reply within 2–3 working days. Tell us your device and iOS version and we’ll sort you out faster.
Open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Dreich. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Premium until the current period ends.
Changed phone, or reinstalled? Open Dreich, go to the subscription screen, and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID for an active subscription — no need to pay again.
Dreich Premium starts with a 7-day (one week) free trial where offered. To avoid being charged, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends (using the steps above). You keep access until the trial finishes.
Dreich needs your location to show your local forecast. Turn it on in Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Dreich → While Using the App. Dreich only uses your location to fetch the weather — see the Privacy Policy.
It’s a 0–10 read of how dreich the day is, worked out from the real forecast — rain, wind, cloud, temperature and the rest. Higher is brighter; lower is, well, dreich. It’s built so the verdict never contradicts the forecast.
The midge forecast (“the Itcher”) is a model based on temperature, wind, humidity and the season — not a live count of actual midges. Treat it as a well-informed guess, and pack the repellent anyway.
From Apple WeatherKit. Dreich interprets it with a Scottish accent, but the underlying forecast is Apple’s.
